James Ricky Franks departed this life on Friday, January 18, 2019, at the age of 62 years, 10 months, and 14 days. He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee, on March 4, 1956, the son of Nellie Mae Riley Franks and the late Joe Cecil Franks.
James was a veteran of the US Army and had worked for Wolfe Sales. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his mother, Nellie Franks; sisters, Pattie Kiddy and husband Michael, and Claudia Holland and husband Jeff; stepsons, Richie Moore and Jeffrey Moore; stepdaughter, Heather McClain, all of Savannah, Tennessee; and ten grandchildren.
In addition to his father, James was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Joe Franks and his sister, Karen Joy Pevahouse.
