James Huston Flatt was born April 19, 1924 in Adamsville, Tennessee the son of the late Dan and Tiny McCormick Flatt.He was united in marriage to Joy Weaver who preceded him in death on January 23, 1981. On June 2, 1983, he married Mary R. Green. Mr. Flatt was a retired maintenance worker for Brown Shoe Company in Selmer and a minister. He was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church.Mr. Flatt departed this life on July 31, 2007 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 3 Months, 12 Days. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Mary R. Flatt of Selmer, Tennessee; two step-daughters: Patsy Brown and Jane Martin, both of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; four sisters: Gaytha Sparks of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Shelby Jean Aldman of Tuscon, Arizona, Louise Bryant of Toone, Tennessee and Eula Mae Hester of Savannah, Tennessee; a brother, Don Flatt of Savannah, Tennessee; a granddaughter, Brandi Price of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; a grandson, Brad Flatt of Henderson, Tennessee; four great-grandchildren: Zach, Dalton, Clay and Logan; 9 Step Grandchildren, 18 Step Great Grandchildren and 2 Step Great Great Grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and first wife, Mr. Flatt was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Wayne Flatt; two brothers: Irah Flatt and J. P. Flatt; a sister, Zula Faye Flatt; and a step-daughter, Sue Scott.
