James Lavern Fish

Funeral services for James Lavern Fish, age 82, were 3:00 PM Friday, December 16, 2005 at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Bolivar with Jerry Wilson and Bertie Moore officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Springs Methodist Cemetery in Deanburg. Mr. Fish died at his home on December 14, 2005 in the Deanburg Community in Chester County after a long illness with cancer.
He was born in Hardeman County, the son of the late William Thomas “Tom†and Cora Mandana Donaldson Fish. He was a WWII veteran. His favorite hobbies were coon hunting and riding in his horse and buggy with friends and family.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Anita Fish; two daughters, Brenda Collins and Cora Talbot (Tom) of Deanburg; two sons, Jimmy Fish (Diane) and Freddie Fish (Cindy) of Jackson, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and two sisters, Opal Sipes and Neola Wiggs.
