James 'Unk' Essary

Enville, TN: James D. Essary, age 69, died September 7, 2008 at his home.
He is survived by three daughters, Carol Ann Holland of Jackson, Penny Smith (Tony) of Michie and Amy Essary of Enville; four sisters, Margie Essary of Memphis, Jupy Knauff of Memphis, Fay Bishop of Enville and Lois Jean Smith of Enville; two brothers, Houston ‘Doc’ Essary of Luray and Webb Essary of Savannah; grandchildren, Callie Lupino of Jackson, Gary Holland of Virginia Beach, VA, Hannah Wagoner of Michie, Hudson Smith, Holton Smith and Hayden Smith all of Michie.
He was preceded in death by his wife Judy Moore Essary in July 2007; three brothers, Maxell Essary, Aubie Essary and Carlos Essary and a sister, Sue Clark.
Mr. Essary was born in Enville, the son of the late James Dexter and Millie Adams Essary. He graduated Chester County High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He was married to Judy Moore Essary Feb. 7, 1970. They lived in Memphis for several years and moved to Enville in 1974. Mr. Essary was employed as a truck driver for ETC and later Chester County Highway Dept. He was a member of the Enville Baptist Church.
