James Clay Dugger

James Clay (Groundhog) Dugger Jr. of Waynesboro, TN was born January 21, 1943 in Wayne Co., TN, the son of the late James Clay Dugger and Bertha Ann Matthews Dugger Farmer. He was united in marriage to Ruby Nell Franks on September 25, 1977 and she preceded him in death on April 23, 1990.



Mr. Dugger was a retired truck driver.



Mr. Dugger departed this life on Monday, May 27, 2013 at Wayne Care Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 4 Months, 6 Days.



He is survived by sons, Jason Clay Dugger of Iuka, MS, Michael Clay Dugger and wife, Ashley of Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Karla Clanton of Columbia, TN, Jenny Dugger of Waynesboro, TN, Kelli Bratcher and husband, Greg of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Ethan Polk, Julian Clanton, Blake Adams, Colton Cummings, Preston Cummings, Carlee Gobbell, Hunter Dugger, Jayda Dugger, Jansen Bratcher, Peyton Bratcher, Hanna Dugger, Colin Brathcer, Cayleb Dugger, and Caynan Dugger; great-grandchildren, Emma and Ethan Adams, Wyatt Bratcher; brothers, Jimmy Dugger and wif,e Josephine of Taylor, MI, Dennis Dugger of Clifton, TN, Bobby Nesbitt and wife, Wanda of Savannah, TN; a sister, Kathy Davis and husband, Larry of Waynesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews.



In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Dugger was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Dugger; a brother, William Johnny Dugger; a sister, Linda Dugger; step-father, Forrest Nesbitt.



Services will be Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Jim Floyd and Larry Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery (Wayne County), Lawrenceburg, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors (Wayne County) directing. Grandsons will be pallbearers.
