James Porter Drinkard

James Porter (Feather) Drinkard was born November 29, 1948 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Robert Franklin Drinkard and Hazel Smallwood Drinkard Mullen.Mr. Drinkard graduated with a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Tennessee at Martin, and taught in the McNairy County School System for several years. He had formerly served his country in the United States Army as an MP in Korea, and was a member of the Buena Vista Methodist Church in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. Mr. Drinkard departed this life on May 27, 2010 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 61 Years, 5 Months, 28 Days. He is survived by his mother, Hazel Smallwood Drinkard Mullen and step-father Fred Mullen of Bethel Springs, TN; a brother, Randy Drinkard and wife Amy of Bethel Springs, TN; a nephew, Robert Spencer Drinkard; a niece, Darby Addison Drinkard; and several cousins.
