He was an avid gardener. He had worked most of his life in a body shop and was very good at collision repair.
Mr. Deaton is survived by a daughter, Laura Curd and husband Jon of GA; his mother, Laura Neil Tarvin Walker and his dad, George Walker both of Selmer, TN; a sister, Laura Perkins of Selmer, TN; four grandchildren: Courtney Thompson, Kayla Thompson, Cody Curd and Brandon Roach; niece and nephew, Jennifer Hunt and David Weathers.
Mr. Deaton was preceded in death by his father, James Deaton.
Private services were held. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer, TN.
