James L. Cook was born August 23, 1932 in Hardin County, Tennessee the son of the late Emitt and Elsie Blanche Tanner Cook.On July 4, 1952 he was united in marriage to the former Dorothy Marie Morgan of Savannah, Tennessee, who survives.Mr. Cook was the owner and operator of Cook's Tavern for 35 years. He also worked as a carpenter. Mr. Cook liked working with his cattle and doing his farm work. He enjoyed his great grandchildren playing and spending time with them. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends.Mr. Cook departed this life on May 10, 2008 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 75 Years, 8 Months, 17 Days.In addition to his wife, Mr. Cook is survived by a daughter, Debbie Jane Austin of Savannah, Tennessee; a brother, Earl Cook of Clifton, Tennessee; a grandchild, Donald Wayne Austin; two great grandchildren, Ashton Wayne Austin, Aden Rylie Austin.In addition to his parents, Mr. Cook was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Cook, Douglas Cook.
