James Donald (Clus) Cook
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on July 23, 1936 the son of the late Clergie Robert Lee and Fannie Mae Allison Cook.
Mr. Cook retired from the Tennessee Army National Guard, he was Sergeant First Class over Motorpool. After retiring he worked for Ronald Franks Construction. Mr. Cook was also a farmer and raised cattle. He was a carpenter who loved the work and built his granddaughter's first home just last year. He enjoyed hunting and skeet shooting. Mr. Cook was the past director of Hardin Farmer's CO-OP.
Mr. Cook departed this life on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the age of 72 years, 5 months, 16 days.
Mr. Cook is survived by a daughter: Vickie Todd and husband Ronnie of Adamsville, Tennessee; 2 sons: Allen Cook and wife June of Savannah, Tennessee and Keith Cook and wife Charlotte of Adamsville, Tennessee; 2 sisters: Robbie Davis and husband Leon of Savannah, Tennessee and Carolyn Coleman and husband Billy of Greer, South Carolina; a brother: Tommy Cook and wife Ruth of Savannah, Tennessee; 7 grandchildren: April Hall, Brandi Henderson, Jamie Cook, Shane White, Kelly Cook, Josie Cook, and Cain Stricklin; 5 great-grandchildren: Hunter White, Matthew White, Keeley Hall, Bailey Henderson, and Lindsey Henderson.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cook was preceded in death by a stepmother: Cordie Ruth Shaw Cook; a stepson: James David Stricklin; a granddaughter: Jennifer White.
