James Kinzie Coats
September 23, 1923 — January 28, 2012
Mr. Coats passed away Saturday, January 28 in La Center,
Kentucky.
A native of Selmer, he was a self employed carpenter. He was a
member of Shandy Baptist Church and lived most of his life in the
Toone area with the last eleven years in Kentucky.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Knight of La Center,
Kentucky and Doris Ann Graham of Sikeston, Missouri; three
granddaughters, Teresa Lofton of East Prairie, MO, Kay Layton and
Connie McKnight, both of LaCenter, KY; a stepson, Jimmy Pirtle of
Hornsby; 11 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, James
Lawrence Coats.
