JAMES MICHAEL "MIKE" CLEMENT
was born May 25, 1955, in Savannah, Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late James Riley Clement and Annie Carolyn Horton Clement. He departed this life on December 3, 2019 at the age of 64 years, 6 months and 8 days.
He was raised in Hardin County, graduating from Central High School in 1973. He worked at Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) at Counce from 1975 to 2017, retiring in December 2017.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Dawn Clement; children, Bridget Clement Barnhill (Doug), Jason Clement (Jennifer), Brandi Clement Bixler (Josh), David Grisham (Samantha), John Grisham (Shelley); grandchildren, Hunter Abrams, Gage Bixler, Gavin Bixler, Grayson Bixler, Ty Grisham, Riley Grisham, Adalyn Grisham, Taylee Grisham, River Grisham and Lincoln Grisham; sister, Shelley Clement Murphy (Boyd); nephews, Casey Murphy (Brandy), and Wesley Murphy (Mendy); and great nieces and nephews, Peyton Murphy, Alli Franks, Gracie Murphy, Layla Murphy and Westin Murphy.
Mike, as he was known by everyone, is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Horton and Clement families. He leaves behind a host of fishing buddies and friends.
His passion for fishing on Pickwick Lake brought him great joy along with many lifelong friendships and great family memories. Mike took great pride in his home, yard and beautiful landscaping. He was always ready with a smile and helping hand to anyone who needed him. Mike was blessed to enjoy the association of many lifelong friends, co-workers at the Mill and neighbors.
