James Robert Churchwell

Mr. James Robert Churchwell Sr. was born April 29, 1958 in Nashville, TN the son of the late W.I. and Mattie Linam Churchwell. He was united in marriage to Nancy Bumphus on June 30, 1987. Mrs. Churchwell preceded him in death on September 4, 2016. Mr. Churchwell departed this life on September 30, 2019 in Clifton, Tennessee making his stay in this life some 61 Years, 5 Months and 1 Day.

He is survived by his children Zekeyia Churchwell of Nashville, TN; Jamie Clemmons of Clifton, TN; James Robert Churchwell, Jr. (Lisa Conner) of Clifton, TN; and Claude Churchwell of Murfreesboro, TN; his brothers and sisters Clara Churchwell of Murfreesboro, TN; William Churchwell, Jr. of Clifton, TN; Louise Churchwell of Atlanta, GA; and Jack Linam of Nashville, TN; Grandchildren Jadeen Clemmons of Nashville, TN; Zykel Clemmons of Nashville, TN; Jaylen Clemmons of Clifton, TN; Jasmine Crook of Clifton, TN; and Jazahlia Bigsby of Nashville, TN; Mr. Churchwell is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

In addition to his wife of 29 years and parents, Mr. Churchwell was preceded in death by four sisters, Carolyn Faye Churchwell, Martha Richardson, Mary Sue Porter and Hattie Myrtle Churchwell.

Services will be held on October 5, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Waynesboro in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Charles Linam officiating. Burial will follow in the Lizard Glade Cemetery at Clifton, Tennessee
