JAMES CARSON
Finger, TN: James Dale Carson, age 53, passed away January 30, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born August 25, 1968 in Leachville, AR, the son of Brenda Diann Veal Carson and the late Roger Dale Carson. He grew up in Jacks Creek, TN and was 1986 graduated of Chester County High School. He joined the TN Army National Guard in High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1988.
He married Jodi Brown on December 16, 1988. They made their home in Finger the last twenty-six years. He worked at Devilbiss Air Power Company for about twelve years and then began working in maintenance for the Chester County Board of Education for the last fifteen years.
He enjoyed just about all sports. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Carson is survived by his wife, Jodi Lyn Brown Carson of Finger; two sons, Christopher Brown of Finger and Mathew Ryan Carson (Samantha) of Henderson; a daughter, Amanda Smith (Glenn) of McKenzie, TN; his mother, Brenda Diann Veal Carson of Henderson; six grandchildren, Bailey Smith, Elias Brown, Violet Carson, Audrey Smith, Phineas Carson and Wyatt Smith; a brother, Daniel Carson (Jamie) of Sweetlips, TN; four sisters, Michelle Nicholson (Jamen) of South Carolina, Ladeana Cochrane (Robert) of North Carolina, Talitha Narney (Robyn)of Dyer, TN and Laurinda Burden (Nathan); his father and mother-in-law, James and Dorothy Brown of Finger.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors -East Main Chapel with Dr. Ricky Catlett officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday.
