James Larry Bodiford

James Larry Bodiford, Sr of Selmer, TN was born April 13, 1937 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Paul and Dorothy Hines Bodiford.
After graduating from high school, Larry entered the United States Air Force on June 8, 1956 and was honorably discharged on May 27, 1960. After his military service, he lived in Marvell, AR and worked for over 20 years at Mohawk Rubber Company. He returned to McNairy County in 1980 and later worked at King's Hardware and Eugene Knight Sawmill in Selmer. He was united in marriage to his wife Betty in 1992. Larry loved his family very much. He liked animals, enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, along with collecting caps and knives. He was a member of the Gooch chuch of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Betty S. Bodiford of Selmer, TN; his children, James Bodiford of Henderson, TN, Paul Bodiford and wife Melanie of Cabot, AR, Lisa McBride and husband Kevin of Collinsville, OK, Debbie Tayyem of Little Rock, AR; two stepdaughters, Sherry Price and husband Perry of Selmer, and Connie Ray and boyfriend Eddie McEwen of Selmer; two sisters, Sandra Burcham and husband Robert of Selmer, Paulette Guest and husband Cletis of Selmer; a brother, Ricky Bodiford and wife Andrea of Port Allen, LA; 10 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild, 1 Step Grandson, and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bodiford was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Bodiford in 1980, and a son, Gary Bodiford.
