James C. Blanton

James C. (Jake) Blanton of Adamsville, Tennessee, was born on June 5, 1921, in Shiloh, the son of the late Cue and Jessie Surratt Blanton. He was united in marriage to the former Zulene Joyce Guyton who preceded him in death. Mr. Blanton was a member of the Adamsville First United Methodist Church, a road construction contractor and a founder of Blanton and Coke Construction Company of Adamsville. He later served as vice-president of B and B Construction Company also of Adamsville. He was a 32nd. degree mason Adamsville Masonic Lodge.He passed from this life on Wednesday, December 20, 2006, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 85 years, 6 months, 15 daysSurvivors are two daughters, Angella Zulene Grills and husband Gary of Memphis, Tennessee, Kathy Ann Robertson and husband Wayne of Adamsville, Tennessee; two sons, James Ronald Blanton and wife Pat of Selmer, Tennessee, Kerry Blanton and wife Bonnie of Savannah, Tennessee.A sister Ann Snelson of Jackson, Tennessee. 11 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren
