James Ernest Barnes
Was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on February 9, 1941 the son of the late James Robert and Mary Elizabeth Hale Barnes.
On February 28, 1970 he was united in marriage to the former Ima Gean White, who survives.
Mr. Barnes worked for the Hardin County Highway Department for 33 years and also worked for Warren Brothers for 14 years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Mr. Barnes had been a member of Woodmen of the World.
He departed this life on September 13, 2005 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah at the age of 64 years, 7 months and 4 days.
Other than his wife, Ima Gean of Adamsville, Tennessee, he is survived by one daughter, Debra Garrison of Adamsville, Tennessee, 2 grandchildren, Kimberly Hosea and James Matthew Garrison, 2 great-grandchildren, Sydney Marie Hosea and Heidi Layne Hosea, 2 brothers, Billy Gean Barnes of Adamsville, Tennessee and Robert Lee Barnes of Brookfort, Illinois.
Mr. Barnes was also preceded in death by his step-father Lee Green.
