James Duncan Ashe

J. D. Ashe was born October 11, 1916 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late John and Patie Hawkins Ashe.He was united in marriage to Doshia Walker on January 19, 1941. He was a Retired Farmer and a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church which he served as a Deacon.Mr. Ashe departed this life on August 12, 2007 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 10 Months, 1 Day.He is survived by two daughters, Judy Isbell and husband Garry of Adamsville, Tennessee and Connie Henson and husband James of Selmer, Tennessee; two sons, Jerry Ashe and wife Bonnie of Adamsville, Tennessee and Tommy Ashe and wife Althea of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two sisters, Bessie Woods of Cordova, Tennessee and Ruby Davis of Selmer, Tennessee; a brother, W. C. (Preacher) Ashe of Adamsville, Tennessee; 8 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Mr. Ashe was preceded in death by his wife Doshia Walker Ashe; two children, Kathy and Jimmy Ashe; a sister, Ollie Walker; four brothers, Artie, George, Willard and Millard Ashe.
