James Harold Anderson

James Harold Anderson was born April 16, 1925 in Wayne County, TN, the son of the late Alf and Nannie Ray Anderson. He was united in marriage to Frieda Joycelyn Smith on April 11, 1948 and she preceded him in death on January 21, 2011.

Mr. Anderson retired in 1983 after 33 years with Northern Nat. Gas Company. He was a United States Army veteran of WW II, an elder of the Presbyterian Church, a life time member of the V. F. W, a member of the Rotary Club and former president of Wayne County Forest Landowners Association.

Mr. Anderson departed this life on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Waynesboro Health and Rehab in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 2 Months, 20 Days.

He is survived by a son, Jimmy Neil Anderson of Clifton, TN; a daughter, Dolores Nan Eliasan and husband, Roger of Clear Lake, IA; grandchildren, Dr. Kane L. Anderson, wife, Mareca, Stephanie Ann Eliason and Stacie Marie Eliason Wyborny, husband, Jeremy; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sue Nell Newbill of Mt. Home, AR and Betty Baird of Waterford, MI.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by a son, Harold Douglas Anderson, a brother, Charles Edward Anderson and a granddaughter, Gayla Lynn Anderson.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Culp's Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with military rites and Tracy Love officiating.Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 6 pm to 9 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, TN.
