JACOB ‘JAY’ ROUSE

Henderson, TN: Jacob Aster Rouse, Jr. age 52 passed away June 13, 2023, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born October 9, 1970, in Henderson, the son of Carolyn Ann Mathews Rouse and the late Jacob Rouse, Sr. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1989. He worked in construction, T. J. & L., Hayes Construction and Thompson Home Builders.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, and loved his dog Ammo.    

Mr. Rouse is survived by his mother, Carolyn Ann Matthews Rouse of Henderson and two sisters, Lorrie Ann Ashbrook of Henderson, and Lisa Annette Russell of Jackson.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Randy Mead officiating.  Burial will follow at Old Friendship Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue from 5 PM to 8 PM Friday evening.
