Jackie Plunk McAfee of Ramer, Tennessee was born on March 5, 1923 in Prentiss County, Mississippi, the daughter of Oliver and Tula Boone Griggs. She was retired from General Electric Company in Selmer, a member of New Hope Methodist Church, a member of Women of The Moose Lodge #9931, and the VFW.
Mrs. McAfee passed from this life on July 16, 2010 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 84 years, 4 months, 10 days.
Survivors are her husband, John McAfee of Ramer; a daughter, Sandra Arney of Port Orange, Florida; two sons, Steve Plunk of Tulsa, Oklahoma, David Plunk of Knoxville, Tennessee; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
A host of other relatives and friends.
Other than her parents, Mrs. McAfee was also preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Mitchell, and a brother, William (Bill) Griggs.
She was buried according to her specific wishes in her family cemetery near Booneville, Mississippi next to her aunts and grandparents who raised her.
Services were private with Bro. Jimmy Garrett officiating. Pallbearers were David Plunk, Steve Plunk, Jerry Arney, Douglas Reyes, Curtis Plunk, and Doug Plunk.
