Funeral services for Jack McKee Painter, age 63, of Waynesboro, TN will be Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 2 pm at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette, TN with Chad Clanton officiating. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Gardens in Lafayette, TN with Alexander Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 10 am until 2 pm at Alexander Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN. Local arrangements are being handled by Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County.
Mr. Painter died at the home of his daughter and her family on Thursday, November 29, 2007 after a brief illness with cancer.
A native of Glasgow, KY, he had served in the Tennessee Army National Guard, was an accountant, was of the Protestant faith, and attended Zion Baptist Church in Waynesboro, TN. Mr. Painter was a son of the late Dr. Max Eugene and Martha Evalyn Froedge Painter and a brother of the late Dr. Max Painter, Jr.
Survivors, daughter, Winnette Bevis and husband, Stan Bevis, of Waynesboro, TN; son, Brian M. Painter Driver and wife, Misty Cary Driver, of Glasgow, KY; grandchildren, Ethan McKee Driver, Taylor Bevis, Morgan Bevis, and Drew Bevis; brother, Billy F. Painter of Hartsville, TN, and close friend, Diane Gregory
