Mr. Crowley died Friday evening at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
The husband of Georgia Maye Hill Crowley, who survives, he was a farmer and cattleman. He was the son of the late William and Ida Lee Reagon Crowley and lived all of his life here. He served in the Army during World War II in the Pacific, Guam and at Iwo Jima. He loved to coon and bird hunt and enjoyed fishing. Mr. Crowley was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist.
In addition to his wife, with whom he had spent 47 years, survivors include three stepdaughters, Juddie Schnakenberg of Jackson, Betty Tosh of Bolivar and Dorothy McCarver of Bemis; two stepsons, Ray Ervin and Carolyn of Bolivar and Billy Ervin of Silerton; a sister, Ruth Shivers of Trenton; eleven step grandchildren, James Tosh and Jill, Michelle Avent, Christopher and Joshua Tosh, Benjamin and Debbie Ervin, Billy Jerome Ervin and Pam, Raymond Andrew Ervin and Jennifer, James Franklin Davis, Lisa Gail Mooney and Shirley Mooney; and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bessie Claybrooke and Mary Ann Chappell and three brothers, William, Robert and Hugh Crowley.
