J. W. Rich

J. W. Rich departed this life on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 10 Months, 15 Days. He was born October 15, 1935 in Wayne County, TN, the son of the late John L. and Winnie Wilkerson Rich.

He was united in marriage to Donna Jane Clendenin on January 2, 1960 and she preceded him in death on June 25, 2015. Mr. Rich was retired from Ford Motor Company, was a member UAW Local 882 and was a member of the Methodist Church. He served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by, daughter, Alice Roberson and husband, Jerry of Iron City, TN; son, John M. Rich and wife, Dmanda of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Misty Caperton and Molly McClain and Jagger and Ryder Rich; brother, Norman Rich of Muscle Shoals, AL; sisters, Ocie Richerson and Genevie Horton both of Waynesboro, TN and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Rich was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Devers; grandsons, Jody and Justin Hanback; brothers, Granville, Gaynes, Raymond and Ralph Rich; sisters, Winnie Mae Grimes and Hazel Holt.

Graveside services will be Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 3:30 pm at Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Keith Montgomery officiating and Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers will be Harold Rich, Chris Rich, Anthony Rich, Jason Caperton, Jamie McClain and Kevin Jackson.
