J. D. Roché, 88, of Olive Branch, Miss., died Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at Germantown Methodist Hopsital.
The husband of Esther Prince Roché, who survives, he retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1971, as a Chief Master Sergant E-9 after 31 years of service, including serving in the Pacific during WWII. Mr. Roché was born May 17, 1918 in Grand Junction, son of the late Thomas Francis Roché and Susie Norris Roché and lived there until 1955 when he made his home in Olive Branch. He enjoyed hunting, farming and antiquing and was a member of United Methodist Church at Mineral Wells, Mississippi.
Services were 10 am Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Scott Larsen officiating. Burial was in Grand Junction City Cemetery.
In addition to his wife, whom he married March 11, 1944, survivors include one daughter, Brenda Roché of Jacksonville, Fla; one son, Larry David Roché and his wife, Maxine, of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Charlie Roché of Spokane, WA; one grandchild, Damon Graham and one great grandson, Dalton Graham.
