He was born and reared in the Silerton Community of Chester County, son of the late John Adam and Rona Magdalene Roland Beshires. He went to school at Phillips School House of Chester Co. He farmed as a young man and joined the Civil Conservation Corp. were he was a fire fighter in Brothers, Oregon. In 1942 he entered the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in North Africa, Southern France, Sicily, Austria, and Italy. He received seven Battle Stars. He returned home in 1945 and in 1947 was married to Hazel Siler of the Silerton Community where they made their home all their life. In 1966 he with to work for Harman Automotive in Bolivar where he was a finish buffer. Mr. Beshires retired in 1985. Mrs. Beshires passed away in 2003.
He is survived by a son Willard Beshires and wife Linda of Silerton, seven brothers Clyde, Buster, Jerry and Larry Beshires all of Henderson, Bobby and Haven Bershires of Arkansas, and Cornis Beshires of Jackson, three sisters Louise Cloud, Faye Crouse, Sandra Lott all of Henderson and a grandson Kevin Beshires of Silerton. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Holly Beshires in 1982.
