Ivan E. Terry, 91, of Toone, died Wednesday morning, March 23, 2005 at Pine Meadows Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
The widower of Elmer Cleo Terry, who died April 23, 1978 after 42
years of marriage, he was a farmer and sawmill worker. Mr. Terry
was born August 3, 1913, in Chester County, son of the late Will and
Mattie Rowland Terry and lived in this area all of his life. He was
Baptist in belief.
Services were 11 a.m. Friday, March 25 at Shackelford's chapel in
Bolivar with Orville McMahan officiating. Burial was in Woodville
Cemetery near Bethel Springs.
Survivors include one daughter, Shearon Waldrop of Selmer; two sons, Don and Gene Terry, both of Toone; 9 grandchildren, 6 great
grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one grandchild.
