Irene Carroll

IRENE CARROLLwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on March 3, 1929 the daughter of the late William Mancil and Louise Wood.On May 5, 1946 she was united in marriage to Gene Carroll, who preceded his wife in death on November 4, 1981.Mrs. Carroll was a homemaker. She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Carroll loved her family, her home and her flowers. She also enjoyed cooking, yard work, gardening and was very active in her church all of her life.Mrs. Carroll departed this life on December 7, 2011 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 4 days.She is survived by one daughter, Diane Wardlow and her husband Randall of Counce, Tennesseeone son, Dennis Carroll and his wife Vicki of Counce, Tennessee2 grandchildren, Kristi Byrd and her husband Alan and Kirk Nix and his wife Wendi8 great grandchildren, Alec Byrd, Adam Byrd, Cole Nix, Aidan Byrd, Katy Carroll Nix, Anna Byrd, Caroline Nix and Chloe Nix3 brothers, Bobby Wood, Ray Wood and his wife Barbara and Kenneth Wood and his wife Cathy, all of Counce, Tennessee2 sister in laws, Nancy Wood of Counce, Tennessee and Barbara Ann Wood of Michie, TennesseeIn addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Donny, David, Roy and W. M. Wood, Jr.
