Irene Burns

Irene Copeland Burns was born November 15, 1932, in Cypress Inn, TN the daughter of the late Bud and Rachel Fanny Johnson Copeland. She was united in marriage to Troy C. Burns on June 14, 1953 and he preceded her in death on March 31,2016. Mrs. Burns was a homemaker and spent several years caring for the elderly. She was a member of the Hydes Chapel Church of Christ in Cypress Inn, TN and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Travis Eugene Burns and wife Sandra of Cypress Inn, TN; daughters, Imogene (Jean) Bogus of Muscle Shoals, AL and Willodean Coats and Maveline Kendale both of Florence,AL; brother, Johnny Copeland of Savannah, TN; sisters Ozeleen Stubblefield and Pauline Hamm; grandchildren, Kevin, Jessica, Jason, and Makayla Burns, Misty Cottrell, Stephen and Joshua Coats and Kendra Coats Cole and Marty W., Michael R. and Mathew W. South and 15 great-grandchildren .

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by her brothers, Grady and
R. D. Copeland and sisters, Ruby Weeks, Pearl Vincent, May Williams and Kathleen Franks and a great- grandchild, Alexis Hope Grigsby.
