Ira Gene Patterson

Funeral mass for Ira Gene Patterson, age 76, of Clifton, TN, formerly of Conway County, AR, will be Eleven am Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Savannah, TN with Father James Martell and Father Francis Chiawa officiating. A rosary will be at 7:00 pm Monday, May 14, 2007 at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro, TN. His remains will be cremated following services.
Mr. Patterson was born in Holly Springs, MS, a son of the late Thomas Allen Patterson and Ida Lou Harris Patterson. He died Friday, May 11, 2007 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville following a brief illness. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Patterson was a retired river boat captain and commercial fisherman. He and his wife had lived in Florida prior to relocating to Clifton, TN. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Zimmerman Patterson of Clifton, TN
Sons, Gene of Barnardsville, NC, David and Darryl of Morrilton, AR, and Dale of Asheville, NC; daughters, Debbie of Adona, AR, Dianne of Vilonia, AR, Donna of Asheville, NC, and Denise of Ft. Myers, FL and a granddaughter they raised, Dena
18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and a sister, Joy of Olive Branch, MS
