Inez Cook is reunited with her husband, Ernest Cook, Sr., and her two sons, Ernest Cook, Jr. and Bill Cook, who went on before her.
She was born June 3, 1912 in Temple, TX the daughter of the late John and Georgia Ovbey Cox. She was united in marriage to Ernest Cook, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1986.
Mrs. Cook was one of eleven children. While growing up, her family worked as sharecroppers, moving to different locations in Georgia and Tennessee to farm. In later years, Mrs. Cook worked as a merchandiser for Grant's Department Store in Chattanooga, TN until her retirement. She and her husband also operated a dairy and farmed. She was known for her work ethic.
Mrs. Cook departed this life on April 29, 2014 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 101 Years, 10 Months, 26 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Yvonne Adams of Cleveland, TN; a son, Roy Cook and wife Nell of Franklin, NC; two sisters, Lecil of Chatsworth, GA and Wynette of Dalton, GA; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
In addition to her parents, husband, and two sons, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by eight siblings.
