Inez Cossar Baker

Inez Cossar Baker, 90, of Bolivar, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

A life-long resident of Hardeman County, she was the daughter of the late Herman "Pete" Cossar and Evie Gatewood Cossar. She married Mr. Robert Brint "R. B." Baker on January 31, 1954, and he passed on May 28, 1989. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Baker (1978); her daughter, Judy Baker (2009); three sisters, Margaret Mayfield, Virginia Doyle and Shirley Lowrance; and two brothers, W. C. and Billy Cossar.

Mrs. Baker had worked as a caregiver and also had worked at Master Slack and Armira in Bolivar over the years.  She enjoyed worshipping at Bolivar First Baptist Church especially participating in her Sunday School Class.  Additionally, we liked going shopping with her sisters and eating out.  

She is survived by her sister, Mary King of Dallas, GA and her nieces, nephews and cousins.
