Imogene Kiestler

January 20, 1919 — May 30, 2007

Imogene Mitchell Kiestler was born January 20, 1919 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Marshall Bryan and Effie Jane Henson Mitchell.



She was united in marriage to Elbert Harmon (Rip) Kiestler who preceded her in death on January 1, 1989.



Mrs. Kiestler was self-employed with the Kiestler & Henson Gin. She was a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church where she was a Church Clerk for 42 years and a Sunday School teacher for 40 years. She was also a member of the McNairy County Democratic Executive Committee and the Order of the Eastern Star.



She departed this life on May 30, 2007 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 4 Months, 10 Days. Mrs. Kiestler is survived by two daughters, Patsy Pickle and husband Bobby Gene of Selmer, Tennessee, Jeanne Tull and husband Clyde Allen of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; a son, Elbert Mitchell Kiestler of Hornsby, Tennessee; three sisters, Effie Carrie Woods Selmer, Tennessee, Mary Jewel Jernigan and husband Lewis of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, Ann Robbins and husband Bill of Alamo, Tennessee; a brother, John Mitchell and wife Coy of Selmer, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Bobby Pickle Jr. of Middleton, Tennessee, Vicki Privett of Corinth, Mississippi, Sandy Robinson of Selmer, Tennessee, Debbie Jordan of Germantown, Tennessee, David Tull of Fort Worth, Texas, Misty West of Hornsby, Tennessee, Deana Thompson of Bethel Springs, Tennessee and sixteen great grandchildren.



In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Kiestler was preceded in death by two sons, Wilbur Dean Kiestler and Lindy M. Kiestler; maternal grandparents, William C. and Sarah Cox Henson; paternal grandparents, John Robert and Saphronia Morgan Mitchell; two brothers, James Sherrald Mitchell and wife Cleo and Warren Morton Mitchell; father and mother in-law, David Crockett and Birdie Cox Kiestler. and brother-in-law Hugh Woods.
