Imogene Hunter was born June 20, 1929 in Pinson , TN the daughter of the late Homer and Oma Landreth Griffin.
Mrs. Hunter was an avid gardener with an exceptional green thumb. Her yard was full of blooms and fragrant from her beautiful rose gardens. A compassionate heart for the elderly lead her to a career as a caregiver spanning over 20 years. After retiring, she made weekly trips to the nursing homes in Adamsville and Selmer visiting the residents often bringing flowers from one of her many gardens. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Corinth, MS.
Mrs. Hunter departed this life on August 7, 2019 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 1 Month, 18 Days. She is survived by her husband Clay Hunter of Shiloh, TN; son, Harold English and wife Judy of Bartlett, TN; two stepsons, Jerry and Bobby Hunter; stepdaughter, Renee Lambert and husband Ronnie; two half brothers, Larry and Roger Griffin; three grandchildren, Jeremy English and wife Krystal, Jason English and wife Charlotte, Dr. Jonathan English and wife April; great grandchildren, Althea, Eliza, David, Lydia, Sadia, Winston, and Garrison; niece, Tammy Ware; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by her first husband, Arnold English; brother, Jake Griffin.
