Ilean Rice

Ilean Welch Ricewas born in Lake, Mississippi on January 3, 1919 the daughter of the late Seldon, Sr. and Lena Wood Welch.She was united in marriage on September 2, 1941 to James E. Rice, Jr., who survives.Mrs. Rice was a homemaker and had lived in Hardin County before moving to Alabama. She was a member of Wall Highway Baptist Church in Madison, Alabama.Mrs. Rice departed this life on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the age of 91 years, 11 months, 15 days.In addition to her husband James of Madison, Alabama, she is survived by a daughter, Patricia of Madison and 3 sons, Terry of New Port Richey, Florida; Don and wife Barbara of Board Run, Virginia; and Ken and wife Cindy of Canon City, Colorado, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Seldon Welch, Jr. of Counce, Tennessee and 2 sisters, Irene Locke and Gweneth Tuberville both of Iuka, Mississippi.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Oliver and Tom Welch; 6 sisters, Evelyn Rice, Helen Lane, Arzie Long, Ora Foster, Ruth Faulkner, and Reubena Johnson; 2 infant granddaughters.
