Hugh Alden Martin was born December 9, 1943 in Dunklin County, MO the son of the late Lee Andrew and Mary Odie Pugh Martin.
He was united in marriage to Alice Faye Slaughter on May 12, 1963.
Mr. Martin was a crop farmer, truck driver and an avid horseman. He loved riding his horses, pulling the many wagons that he built and taking his grandchildren for rides. He enjoyed playing gospel music on his guitar and attending Jesus Fellowship Church.
Mr. Martin departed this life on August 21, 2019 in Stantonville, Tennessee at the age of 75 Years, 8 Months, 12 Days. He is survived by his wife, Alice Faye Martin of Stantonville, TN; a daughter, Leslie Niukkanen and husband Michael; three sons, Dath Lee Martin, Noel Martin and wife Kelly, Brent Martin and wife Christie; nine grandchildren, Jordan Martin, Andrea Martin, Mary Alice Martin, Shaw Martin, Esthelee Pirtle and husband Michael, Olivia Wright, Kelsey Martin, Vivian Martin, Austin Martin; a great-grandchild, Haylen McClain; four sisters, Garmelia Egar, Vona Wood, Aeathra Fanning, Contentha Andrews; a brother, Ralph Martin; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Easton Lee Martin and Payton Dath Martin; two sisters, Waymon Barbara, Chris Johnson; three brothers, Robert Martin, Terry Martin, Harlie Martin.
