Hubert Wilson

Hubert Wilson, 68, of Whiteville, departed this life Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Bolivar General Hospital.

Born in Hernando, MS, Mr. Wilson lived most all of his life in the Whiteville community of Hardeman County.  He was the son of the late Raymond and Velma Ferge Wilson and a 1973 graduate of Fayette-Ware High School.  He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church near Whiteville and a self-employed welder having been disabled in the last several years.

In his leisure time, his activities involved watching old western movies along with nature and wildlife shows on television with his beloved Jack Russell terrier, "Molly", on his lap.  Mr. Wilson also had been an avid fisherman in his younger years.

Surviving relatives include his wife of 46 years, Tracey Wilson, whom he married on August 27, 1977; daughter, Dana Massey and her husband, Brian, of Mason; two sisters, Judy Smith of Decaturville and Joyce Ross of Somerville; two brothers, Edwin Earl Wilson and wife, Becky, of  Whiteville and, Arnold Wilson and wife, Gale, also of Whiteville; and five grandchildren, Allie Grace Wilson of Newbern, Henley Paige and Hadley Claire Wilson, both of Beech Bluff, McKenzie Ann Massey of Knoxville and, Caitlyn Alease Massey of Collierville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his son, Brandon Cooke Wilson on June 17, 2023.
