Hubert Earl Ford departed this life on Monday, September 26, 2016, at the age of 86 years and 11 days. He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 15, 1929, the son of the late Jon Lon and Connie Stricklin Ford. On November 23, 1947, he was united in marriage to Edna Dee Qualls, who preceded him in death on October 20, 2013.
Hubert was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ.
He is survived by his sons, Lonnie Ford of Dallas, Oregon and John Ford of Naples, Florida; brother, Henery Ford of New Carlisle, Indiana; sisters, Romie Hall of Lutts, Tennessee, Naomi Pfeffer of Toano, Virginia, and Sue Dodd of Savannah, Tennessee; six grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lizzie Qualls, Lillie Henson, Mary Scott, Fannie Tabscott, and Murtle Ford; brothers, Robert Ford, William Ford, John Ford, Carl Ford, R. V. Ford, and J.P. Ford.
Hubert was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ.
