Howard Hayes Benton

Henderson, TN: Howard Hayes Benton, age 72, died August 2, 2008 at Tri-County Convalescent Home in Adamsville.
He was born and reared in Chester County, Jacks Creek Community, the son of the late William Franklin and Minnie Helen Busby Benton. He attended schools in Chester County and was a laborer and in 1955 he entered the cooking business and owned restaurants in Chicago, Arizona and Tennessee and retired in 1994 due to poor health.
He had made his home at Heritage Towers the past few years. Mr. Benton was a Baptist in belief.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda Sue Cordell of West Memphis, AR and two sons, David Benton of Grubbs, AR and Paul Benton of Memphis, TN; five grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Pauline Scott of Portland, OR.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Everett Benton, Joe Neal Benton and Hershell Benton.
