Hollis Wayne "Buddy" Stack, Sr., 73, of Saltillo, died Thursday morning, June 15, 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Born February 21, 1933, to James Anderson Stack and Lessie Savannah Mayfield Stack, he was a member of the Saltillo First Baptist Church. Stack had worked for Vandiver Construction, International Paper, Gay's Auto Service, was a mechanic for Billy Whitehurst at the Hardeman County Airport, and most recently for Gene Howell Lumber Yard.
Services were 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Skippy Rowland officiating. Burial was at Silerton Baptist Church Cemetery.
In addition to his wife, Martha Davis Stack, whom he married January 11, 1953; survivors include one daughter, Vicki Stack Archibald of Saltillo, two sons, Hollis Wayne Stack, Jr. of Saltillo and James Anthony Stack of Hornsby; two sisters, Mary Sue Howell of Silerton and Dorothy Riley of Henderson; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to Silerton Cemetery.
