Services for Hettie J. Devers, age 91 of Railroad Bed Rd. near Collinwood will be held Monday, June 23, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Jerry Mathis and Jerry Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in the Griggs Cemetery at Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Devers was born June 28, 1916 in Waynesboro, Tennessee to the late Mack and Willie Wilbanks Pulley. She departed this life on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Wayne County Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 11 Months, 22 Days. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Devers was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Devers; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara (Devers) Rumbaugh Holder; two grandchildren, Mark Wade Skelton and Margaret Rose Divan; a brother, Mr. Talmage Pulley. She was a factory worker.
She is survived by four sons, Mr. Norman Devers of Satsuma, FL, Mr. Ralph Devers Jr. of Los Banos, CA, Mr. Paul Devers of Collinwood, TN, Mr. James D. Pulley of Iron City, TN; two daughters, Helen (Devers) Dixon of Waynesboro, TN and Wanda (Devers) Nolan of Collinwood, TN; a brother, Mr. James T. Pulley of Waynesboro, TN; two sisters, Mrs. Emanola (Pulley) Combs of Waynesboro, TN, Mrs. Ocie (Pulley) Burns of Waynesboro, TN; 25 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
