Funeral services for Hester Turnbo Davis, age 96, of Columbia Health Care formerly of Clifton, TN, will be One p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at Shackelford Chapel in Waynesboro with Jerry Garner and Bobby Pinckley officiating. Interment will follow at Worley Cemetery on Beech Creek with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge.
Pallbearers are Keith Brown, Chris Brown, Colton Turnbo, Roy Pevahouse, Robert Pevahouse, and Cody Cross.
Mrs. Davis, a native of Wayne County, died Saturday at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia after a brief illness. She was a daughter of the late Chesley M. Pevahouse and Mary Ada Warren Pevahouse. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Curtis Allen Turnbo and John Bradley Davis; son, Howard Edsel Turnbo; brothers, Milburn, Forrest, and Brown Pevahouse.
Mrs. Davis was retired from Clifton Manufacturing, a homemaker, and a member of Beech Creek Church of Christ.
She is survived by a daughter, Helen Virginia Howell of Columbia;
Grandchildren, Glenda Nickell and husband Skip, Linda Isbell and husband, Claude, Jamie Turnbo and wife Angie, and Terry Turnbo;
Great grandchildren, Colton, Chelsea, and Chaney Turnbo, Alicia Anglin, Chris and Keith Brown, and Teresa Holtsford;
Great great grandchildren, Cody Cross, Chaz Whitsett, Kyle Anglin, Colby Anglin, Graham Anglin, Elleana, Gabriel, Corbin, and Macy Brown;
Sister, Lockie Brashier and a brother, W.C. Pevahouse both of Savannah; and nieces and nephews.
