Hershel White

February 2, 1919 — November 3, 2010

HERSHEL WHITE



was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on February 2, 1919 the son of the late Robert Weak and Mattie Jane Rideout White.



On April 11, 1942 he was united in marriage to Norma Lee Gean, who preceded her husband in death on November 9, 1987.



Mr. White was a truck driver for Florence Lumber Company. He was a member of Whites Creek Freewill Baptist Church and a member of the Senior Citizens at Waterloo. Mr. White enjoyed attending church and going to the Senior Citizens center and he loved singing.



He departed this life on November 3, 2010 at the Hardin Medical Center Health and Rehabilitation Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 91 years, 9 months and 1 day.



Mr. White is survived by 3 sons, Jerry L. White and his wife Dale, Randy Glenn White and Ronnie L. White and his wife Pam all of Savannah, Tennessee



one daughter, Jeanna Gail Ford and her husband Gerry of Savannah, Tennessee



6 grandchildren, Kim Putman, Josh Ford, Jonathon White, Jodi Duke, Bridgit Chafin and Robert White



8 great grandchildren, Abby Mitchell, Kylie Darby, Weston Ford, Conley Ford, Oakley Ford, Libby Gail Duke, Maycee White and Mabry Ford



2 sisters, Myrtle Morris of Savannah, Tennessee, Opha Dean Davis of Florence, Alabama and one brother, Tommy White of Florence, Alabama



In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by one son, Travis Wade White, one great grandchild, Fulton Ford, 4 sisters, Hester Clay, Reba Brewer, Bedia Black and Maria Roberts and 3 brothers, Floyd White, Robert Weak White, Jr. and Ralph H. White
