Hershall Daphene Burkeens

Hershall Daphene Burkeens was born November 17, 1952 in McNairy County, TN, the son of the late Drew Archie and Ruth Francis Cosby Burkeens. He was a retired security guard for Dover and later for FedEx. He loved fishing, camping and working on old cars. Mr. Burkeens departed this life on June 15, 2016 in Michie, Tennessee at the age of 63 Years, 6 Months, 29 Days.

He is survived by a son, Shane Burkeens and wife Tina of Henderson, TN; two grandchildren, Dakota Burkeens and Christopher Beard; a sister, Belinda J. Hardin of Guys, TN; a brother, Doyle D. Burkeens and wife Sherry of Adamsville, TN; a special niece, Tina Blakney; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Burkeens was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Holland Burkeens; and his siblings: Robert Burkeens, Marie Head, Gearley J. Burkeens, Lolon W. Burkeens, Jessie "Mody" Burkeen, Shirley J. Stroud and Lonnie D. Burkeens.
