Hermie O'Neal

Hermie Vires O'Neal was born January 26, 1923 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Mary Lou Arkie Barham Vires. She was united in marriage to J. H. O'Neal on September 27, 1942. Mr. O'Neal preceded her in death on January 31, 1993.Mrs. O'Neal was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was known as an exceptional cook and seamstress. Mrs. O'Neal departed this life on September 9, 2006 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 7 Months, 14 Days. She is survived by two sons:James Larry O'Neal of New York, New York and Gary O'Neal of Enville, Tennessee; and a sister, Wanna Mae Dillard of Nashville, Tennessee.In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. O'Neal was also preceded in death by a son, Douglas Anthony (Doug) O'Neal who died on September 3, 1991.
