Herman Gilbert Mulder

April 13, 1925 — October 19, 2010

Herman Gilbert (Gib) Mulder was born April 13, 1925 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Willie T. and Nora Elizabeth Sweat Mulder.



He was united in marriage to Louise Willis on August 22, 1942.



Mr. Mulder entered the United States Navy on November 15, 1943 and served honorably until his discharge on January 2, 1946 as a Seaman First Class. He was a lifelong farmer, a member of the Stantonville church of Christ and the Ruritan Club.



Mr. Mulder departed this life on October 19, 2010 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 6 Months, 6 Days. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Louise (Willis) Mulder of Selmer, TN; three daughters: Jane Mulder of Selmer, TN, Wanda Mask and husband Bobby of Selmer, TN, and Sue Chambers and husband Robert of Selmer, TN; a son, Ronnie Mulder and wife Peggy of Selmer, TN; eleven grandchildren: Deron Huskey and wife Dee, Michelle Huskey Smith, Bethany (Wintermute) Gallagher and husband Bobby, Todd Mask and wife Natalie, Jill (Mask) Parker and husband Todd, Maury Mulder and wife Stacy, Christy McMahan and husband Van, Syd Mulder and wife Mandi, Blake Chambers and wife Brooke, Mollie (Chambers) Moore and husband Trey, Seandee (Mulder) Nash and husband Milton; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gene Mulder and wife Louise of Michie, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.



In addition to his parents, Mr. Mulder was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Gilbert Mulder, who died on April 16, 2004; two sisters, Evelyn (Mulder) Michael and Alline (Mulder) Michael; and two brothers, Carl Mulder and Willis Earl Mulder.



The family wishes to say a special heart-felt thanks to Helen Scott, Stacy Embrey, Jane Lambert, Phyllis Kiser, and Jamie Walton, the caregivers who gave their love and attention to Mr. Mulder.
