Herman Holmes

Herman Holmes was born May 23, 1926 in Henderson County, Tn the son of the late Artemus and Lessie Mayo Holmes.He was united in marriage to Jerm (Mac) MacAfee, Juanita Rouse and later Wilma Kirby , all who preceded him in death, and was later married to Juanita Russell on, Novemeber 15, 1998. Mr. Holmes worked as a brick mason for thirty five years and later drove a school bus for Chester County School System for fifteen years. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Full Gospel Church. He enjoyed fishing, trapping,hunting and gardening.Mr. Holmes departed this life on March 10, 2012 in Henderson, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 9 Months, 16 Days.He is survived by his wife Juanita (Russell) Holmes of Henderson, TN; a son, S T Holmes of McKenzie, Tn; a brother, Waymon Holmes of Henderson, TN; two grandchildren, Steve Holmes, Angie Bell, and three great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Mr. Holmes was preceded in death by two brothers, Herchel Holmes and Terry Allen Holmes Sr.Services will be held on March 13, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery at Henderson, Tennessee
