Herbert Cecil Steakleywas born in Cookeville, Tennessee on June 9, 1929 the son of the late Abner Lee and Lula Dyer Steakley.Mr. Steakley was an Army veteran. During his life he had worked at Wolf Bros. as a cook. He was married to Betty Jo Hudgens, who preceded him in death.Mr. Steakley departed this life on March 1, 2008 at the age of 78 years,8 months, 21 days.He is survived by his daughter: Linda Galigher of Little Rock, Arkansas; 3 sons: Jimmy Steakley of Orlando, Florida, Robert A. Steakley of Shiloh, Tennessee, Danny Steakley of Savannah, Tennessee; 7 grandchildren;10 great-grandchildren.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters.He was laid to rest on 3/3/2008 in the Adamsville Cemetery at Adamsville, Tennessee.
