Henry Lofton Young, 82, of Medon, died Saturday, July 16, 2005 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widower of Lela Young, he was retired from the Ford Motor Company maintenance department and was also a cattle farmer. He was born January 19, 1923,in Bolivar, son of the late Johnny and Nannie Wiggins Young, and lived in Gary, Ind. and Fordsville, Ky. prior to moving back to Bolivar in 2003. He was a member of the UAWand was Pentecostal in belief.
Funeral services were 2 PM Tuesday, July 19 at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Bolivar. Graveside services were 2 PM Wednesday, July 20 in Fordsville Cemetery in Fordsville, Kentucky.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Young of Jackson and Hugholene Young Meredith of Bolivar; two sons, Lynn D. Young of St. John, Ind., and James Robert Young of Jackson; two sisters, Jonnie Sue Glenn of Bolivar and Louise Marsh of Gary, Ind.; one brother, Eugene Young of Bolivar; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
