Henry Murphy, Sr.

Services for Henry Murphy, Sr., age 93, of Collinwood, TN will be Sunday, April 13, 2008 at 1:30 pm at Houston Baptist Church with Wayne Green officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Collinwood, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Jimmy, Tony, April, and Henry Murphy, Naomi and Daniel Brewster and honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy and Jerry Jenkins, Elmer Lutts. Visitation will be Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 6 pm to 9 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood.



He died at Wayne Medical Center, Waynesboro, TN, on Friday, April 11, 2008.



Mr. Murphy, a native of Wayne County, TN, was a farmer and sawmill worker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Etta Murphy, his wife, Alte Lee Jenkins Murphy, and son, Henry Murphy, Jr.



Survivors, sons, Robert Mack Murphy and Timmy Murphy, Collinwood, TN, Jim David Murphy, Florence, AL; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Haggard Murphy, Savannah, TN; sisters, Jenny Bolden, Savannah, TN, Lillie Melson, Waynesboro, TN; nieces and nephews.
