Henry Lee Martin

Henry Lee Martin of Cypress Inn, TN was born December 13, 1927 in Wayne Co., TN, the son of the late William Thomas and Annie Caldonia Jenkins Martin. He was united in marriage to Edith Hanvey on September 10, 1949 and she preceded him in death on May 26, 2011.

Mr. Martin was a retired sawmill worker and departed this life on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 8 Months, 4 Days.

He is survived by granddaughters, Melissa Burns and Ashley Munsey both of Florence, AL, Candy Adams of Collinwood, TN, and Brandy Martin of Cypress Inn, TN; great-grandchildren, Justin, Alex, Annah, and Devin; daughter-in-law, Betty Joyce Martin of Cypress Inn, TN; sisters, Lula Martin and Lena Stults both of Iron City, TN; close friends, Barry and Gayle Montgomery of Cypress Inn, TN; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by a son, Willie Lee Martin; brothers, Taylor and Jack Martin; a sister, Lela Reatherford.

Services will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Robert Marks officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors (Wayne County) directing. Visitation will be Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Monday, August 19, 2013 from 11 am until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be John Baskins, Kevin Burns, Willie Munsey, Brian Adams, Michael Garrie, and Carl Yunker.
